Thinking about PV investment?

Useful tips: What do we need to know before we start building PV
Investing in a solar system can be profitable, but furst we need to be familiar with the basics of this type of business – so that at some point it doesn’t turn out that we have spent our money incorrectly. Therefore, it is good to have some useful tips when investing in solar power plants. As an absolute minimum, we should start with the following:
- How much will our entire investment be? The cost of the equipment itself (panels and inverters) is a small part of the entire investment. We need to know and understand all the parts well – technical, documentary, operational, etc.
- When will our solar power plant start to pay for itself?
- What connectivity (infrastructure, transformers, switching and other equipment) is needed to the power grid?
- How to position the panels for optimal yield? This question is often underestimated by investors, but it is extremely important for the success of any photovoltaic power plant. Both the yield and the efficiency of our future solar power plant will depend on the optimal placement of the panels. Therefore, it is good to discuss this topic with specialists in a timely manner. Use our contact form and send a free inquiry. In general, there are the following options:
- PV with a southern location of the panels – with this type, maximum power is achieved, but for a short period of time – at noon. Accordingly, the BESS should be calculated according to this power. The time of energy delivery also has an impact, which is usually in the evening and morning, when the price of electricity is highest.
- PV with an east-west location – with this type of PV, maximum power is never achieved. On the other hand, they have another important property – they start generating energy earlier – when electricity is more expensive and also work until later, when energy is also more expensive. Thus, ultimately they generate more money for their investors, despite the less energy generated. These PVs also need a BESS with a smaller capacity.
- PV plant with atypical arrangement of panels – in these cases, the overall behavior of the PV plant is studied in a desired period by preparing a detailed model of the load curve in relation to the annual period. Then, the appropriate BESS is selected for the case. To do this, fill out the contact form and we will contact you and consult you completely free of charge
- IMPORTANT: When (at what time of day) do we want maximum yield? It is important to clarify whether the produced electricity will be used on site or sold to the grid? If it will be used on site – when will it be most needed? When is our consumption the greatest? The same is true with the sale of electricity – we need to know how much electricity will cost during the hours when our PV plant will produce?
- What do we need to know about the selection of BESS? If we are going to build a local electricity storage facility (BESS), this is good to know at the design stage

How is the construction of a solar power plant carried out?
In general, the construction of a solar power plant goes through the following stages:
1. Initial gathering of information about the client’s ideas
2. Preparation of a conceptual design and construction offer. Consulting and approval by the client
3. Preparation of a detailed design with all necessary parts according to the building law
4. Preparation of additional documentation, ordering and delivery of materials, coordination
5. Production
6. Testing, commissioning
